🖥️ Technology & Resource Management
As a Human Services Coordinator with the Department of Health Services, I worked to improve access to disability services, mental health support, and housing programs. I collaborated with local agencies to develop community-based resources, facilitated training sessions, and assisted individuals in navigating public benefits and support systems. I also played a key role in policy development and service coordination, ensuring people received the care and resources they needed.

📢 Community Outreach & Education
In this role, I was trained as a Peer Specialist in 2017 after working for a bit in a peer recovery center in rural Wisconsin. When I moved on to a Center for Independent Living serving Southwest Wisconsin I was a generalist in disability services and supports as an Independent Living Specialist. I loved the variety and the knowledge I gained with assistive technology, systems advocacy, housing and more! After my first year I moved on to be an Information and Referral Specialist, and finally a Statewide Coordinator of Peer Recovery Organizations. I organized statewide peer recovery initiatives, including coordinating conferences, training programs, and networking opportunities for peer specialists and other recovery advocates. I managed event logistics, and worked closely with statewide partners to expand recovery-oriented programming. A key accomplishment was enhancing accessibility and representation in peer-led spaces, ensuring diverse voices were included in Wisconsin’s recovery movement.
